The best photo I managed to take of it. Had to crop it a little, too.
This is from June 2007, and it was my final etching project in the previous school year. Didn't know much about anteater anatomy back then
I think this is my favourite piece I ever did in the traditional printing class. Far from being perfect but it was the first plate where I actually experimented with other techniques as well.

The suggester certainly had a lot to say about ~riftryu's expressive mating season, and with good reason. "It shows so much movement, an amazing perspective and absolutely stunning details. There is a lot of skill, concentration and patience needed to create a piece such as this! The white blotches puzzle me a bit, but I perhaps those rotating things aren't balls but fire baskets or something? Looks cool anyway.
The anteaters suffer from melding with the totempole at various places, and the pole looks flat and its perspective is off in the middle part.
